Welcome to our blog. It will follow the development of our garden from quagmire, after completion of our self-build, to a garden that reflects our eco-friendly principles. We are wanting to create a garden that meets our needs as a family but is also a wildlife friendly zone. Well that's what we are hoping, time will tell if we are successful.

Messy Garden

Sadly, I'm behind with the gardening. I've managed to do a little weeding but felt overwhelmed by the size of the task ahead. This was once the gravel parking area.
The box balls and the Cornus alba are all that's visible - thankfully the weeds are hidden by the leaves.

I have to include this photo of Rosie, as some people will want to see that she is larger than the chickens now.

The chickens didn't like the snow, they huddled inside until it melted and enjoyed extra rations.

The snow was also a good excuse not to do the weeding...
